Hi there!

My name is Yoh Balse, and I’m an author. Welcome to my blog, where I write and share about the writing world. People often don’t realize that you can make a lot of money just by sitting down and writing. The main reason for this is that many people have low self-esteem and don’t believe anyone would be interested in what they have to say. Big mistake!

A little about me:

I’m based in Florida and have been passionate about writing for close to three decades—even if it took me quite some time to fully understand it! My journey began when, as a kid, I started writing down what we had for lunch—especially on weekends when I enjoyed the meals. That’s how my first diary began.

Eventually, my diary turned into reflections on events, not just food. That habit evolved into writing books.

In addition to writing, I love to run—freely and at my own pace. Back in elementary school, I was a great sprinter. I could have developed this further, but in high school, I found that most of the runners were much bigger than me, and that probably discouraged me. At the time, there wasn’t a well-structured system for athletes of different categories to compete fairly, unlike today.

Why I started this blog:

This blog was created as a space to talk about writing—how to find ideas and turn them into books. My goal is to help aspiring authors who might not even know they have it in them. And the fascinating thing is, many of them are also struggling financially. Writing can truly become a source of income—if you take the time to nurture it. It’s a career you never have to retire from!

Imagine this: you never really go to work, because you stay home at your computer writing books—and you get handsomely paid for it! So why retire?

Whether you’re here to learn about writing, to be inspired by my journey, or just to follow along for the ride, I’m so glad you’re here!

Fun facts about me:

  • Favorite food: I just love soups! I can make a soup out of practically any food set before me and happily wash it down.

  • Favorite place: I love sand deserts, where there’s nothing but sky and sand. Just watching them reminds me how beautifully uncomplicated life can be.

  • A surprising fact: I have only one eye—but you’d have to be super observant to notice! I lost my eye in a childhood accident at the age of five and started school with just one eye. I’ve completed many studies and earned multiple degrees this way. I drive wherever I want, day or night, rain or shine—and I’ve never felt limited by my vision.
